Catching up!!

Well, I’ve been super duper busy with professional obligations and doing the calligraphy for my friend’s wedding invitations, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t done some crafting!
In the middle of a crazy week I took time out to do my annual layout for a friend’s daughter’s birthday—she’s two!!

MATERIALS: “Baguette” double sided pp (American Crafts); “Dapper” alphas (All My Memories Couture Monogram alphabet); “Far Out” pp (Now & Then Collection–The Paper Loft); Marrakech pp (Basic Grey); pp from Target; 3-D butterfly stickers (“Spring Fling” line from Making Memories); laser cut bee stickers (Mrs. Grossman’s); #574 “Pretty Pink” Cardstock stickers (Doodlebug Designs–Double Takes); rub-ons (Anna Griffin)

And I got started on some thank you cards for the people who sponsored me for a music charity walk!

MATERIALS: PPs include “Musical Notes” (Design Originals), “Music Notes” (Boxer Scrapbook Productions), Hambly, #034 “Floral Garden” (g.c.d studios), “#051 “Floral Pinwheels”–Cosette Collection (g.c.d. studios); Maya Rd rub ons (“Scroll”, “Cubicle” and “Noah” alphabet); Anna Griffin rub ons; Martha Stewart decorative tape, “Scallop Sentiment” border punch (Fiskars); Coluzzle nested circle template; rub on alphas (EK Success); and a lot of stash materials.

Make a Moo or Two: Dance

The theme over at Make A Moo or Two is “DANCE.”

As you can see, I made two horizontal moos–one traditional, one in honor of halloween!  The latter isn’t very “macabre” given the nature of the three little guys, but you get the idea.

MATERIALS: wrapping paper scrap (music background), “Ballet Shoes” stamp #568 D (All Night Media); colored pencils, block letter stamps (Hero Arts); black pigment ink (Color Box); Ranger clear e.p.; orange label (Paper Source); “The Bones Brothers” stamp #610 E (All Night Media); cotton ball spread over glue stick applied to moo (I do have fake spider webbing, which is easier to work with, but I’m in the middle of a “moove” and have no idea where it is)

Thanks for stopping by!

My first musical Moo

No, it isn’t a stuffed cow that plays music for a baby…

It is, however, my first stab at a MOO. I’ve been admiring this blog for awhile now, but figured the time had come for me to participate when the theme of the week is MUSIC!

So, here is my very humble homage to one of my favorite pieces. I had these pretty darn awful (tasting) “Composer Chocolates” from Vienna many years ago, but I saved the wrappers. This one featured a painting by L. Eichhorn. I had plenty of ideas for this theme, but only about half an hour’s worth of time!

Charity Walk Thank You Cards

I just recently participated in a charity walk, and many of my friends and family sponsored me (ok, so not that many, but the ones who did gave rather generously!) So, I ordered prints of my team’s group photo, and incorporated them into the cards going to er…the relatives. Everyone else got a print inside the card which they can throw out if they please. I felt this was a good way to a) personalize a thank you and b) encourage sponsorship for next year’s walk :-). As you can tell, it was a music-oriented walk, so that would explain the theme. 🙂

MATERIALS: Papers: Marah Johnson for Creative Imaginations (#11048 Red Music & 11045 Music); Renae Lindgren for Creative Imaginations (#11117 Melody) Appliques & Lettering: Sticko Letter Transfers (AXRBA05); Crystal Stickers “Pearls” by Mark Richards (Style #1952 5 mm); Paper Source “Thank You” letterpress tabs
